The Great Sidney Farmers Market – May 25th – October 12th
Join us every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to Noon! The Market is “the place to be” on Saturday mornings throughout the season. Crafters offer a large variety of homemade items, and farmers bring their freshest produce to tantalize your taste buds. Fresh baked goods and jams and jellies are always a crowd pleaser. Plants and flowers are abundant. Shop early for your best selection!

Chalk the Walk – 9:00 a.m. to Noon – June 8th
Rent a sidewalk square for a donation and create your masterpiece! Chalk will be provided. A panel of judges will choose a winner and that person will receive a prize!
The Great Downtown BBQfest – 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. *Featuring Shelby County United Way’s Kids Zone – (time TBA)* – June 29th
Join us in celebrating our community’s best cooks and music! Judges will sample pork ribs, pulled pork and BBQ chicken legs. Cook-Off Teams will be able to sell to the public, so everyone can get in on the fun! The regular Farmer’s Market begins at 8:00 a.m. BBQ vendors will begin selling their food at 11:00 a.m.
We’ll partner with the United Way agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses & churches to provide a free FUN Kidz Zone for children ages 12 & under.
National Night Out – 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – August 6th
Over 37.8 million people in more than 16,000 communities will join forces to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug & violence prevention; public safety; and neighborhood unity. Find us on the square for activities and food!
The Amazing Downtown Race – 5:30 p.m. – August 16th
Teams race through downtown for a chance to win great prizes! ** Clue sheets are passed out at 5:55 p.m.** Teams of 4, (registration is required) on the NORTH side of the Court Square. All team members must be age 21 and over. **Prizes will be awarded to the top teams**
Open Air Dinner – September 5th
Patrons will gather for an elegant farm to table dinner on the covered bridge at Tawawa Park.
Annual Downtown Chocolate Walk – October 4th
Join us as we tour downtown businesses while enjoying samples of delicious chocolate treats! Tickets are $15.00. This is an 21 and up event.

Fall Festival – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – October 12th
Ghosts, goblins, superheroes and princesses will gather downtown for a costume contest and activities! A costume contest will be held in the following categories: Children ages 0-12, Dogs and Teen/Adult (13 & up). Registration will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with the contest beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visit Amos Memorial Public Library, Ron & Nita’s for more fun! Some participating downtown businesses will also pass out candy.
Murder/Mystery Dinner Theater – 7:00 p.m. – October 26th
Come Join us for a fun filled evening of murder, mayhem, and delicious food! Doors open at 6:30 p.m., dinner begins at 7:00 p.m.

Christmas of Yesteryear / Winter Wonderland Parade – December 7th
Enjoy the sights, tastes & sounds of a Historic Downtown Sidney Christmas, complete with horse & carriage rides. It’s a great time to shop local and finish up those Christmas lists too! See our downtown all dressed up for the holidays and enjoy a wonderful evening parade, complete with Santa & Mrs. Claus! The Reason for the Season Lighting ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with the parade stepping off at 7:30 p.m. We ask that all spectators remain on the sidewalk during the parade for everyone’s safety.
